STONECARVING AND SCULPTURE
The aim of this course is to introduce a valuable skill in a short time and to enable students to create something from stone, opening their eyes to the creative possibilities of stone carving. Students learn simple masonry and carving exercises: roughing
out, carving, refining and perfecting the use of mallets (hammers),
chisels and rifflers.
MATERIALS
Stone: 20x limestone blocks = £200
If the workshop is held in a school (not our studio) the following items need to be arranged for:
Goggles and masks, mallets or hammers, chisels, G clamps, tables or benches
