The aims of these workshops are to introduce students to the world of lettering, for them to reach a confident level of ability in one or more scripts.

Students are introduced to the different styles and materials used, including making their quills and ink. They then experiment with different applications and styles before the students are taken through the italic script, mastering each letter before writing sentences.  The students will eventually produce a final piece complete with surrounding patterns and illumination.
Courses vary in length from a single day introduction up to a month master classes.
