LLYNFI VALLEY COMMUNITY ROUTE

GREEN JOURNEYS ARTWORK

In early 2011 Adam won a commission to design and create permanent public works of art to complement the development of the Llynfi Valley Community Route, South Wales. The artwork will comprise a series of stone “waymarkers” display carved poems which have been written by local school children. The stones will be sited at intervals along the route.

The project has been organized by a collaboration between Sustrans, Bridgend County Borough Council, Academi and Bridgend College.


The project is still in production, Adam is working nearby the route in Ogmore castle, south Wales with the help of stone carvers Will and Sama. Adam is also working on a designs for a sculptural oak and slate bench to accompany the stones, see the 2nd photo album below.
